On November 12th CCAM welcomed new researcher, Haden Smith. Mr. Smith joins CCAM as Autonomous Robotics Researcher on the adaptive automation team. His past research focused on object detection and distance estimation using deep learning algorithms for autonomous robotic navigation. While in school, Mr. Smith interned at NASA Langley where he worked on programming for UAV navigation systems. He earned his M.S. in Applied Engineering with a mechatronics concentration and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Southern University. In his free time, Mr. Smith enjoys woodworking and tinkering with computers.
