The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) is seeking multiple undergraduate and graduate student interns to perform and participate in the research programs of their world-class applied research facility. CCAM, located in Prince George County, Virginia, is positioned to be a leader in the accelerated development of production ready solutions in the fields of adaptive automation, surface engineering, additive manufacturing, and machining technologies. CCAM’s industrial and academic members focus on developing innovative and valuable technologies that improve efficiencies, products, and profits.
CCAM is now accepting applications for the Fall 2019 term.
Interns may focus in one or more of the following research disciplines: Programming, Manufacturing, Instrumentation & Controls, and Materials. More information about these areas and details about the program may be found in the position description. The fall term is 14-15 weeks long and interns must be available to work 25 – 40 hours per week. The summer term is 14-16 weeks long and interns must be available to work 40 hours per week.
Candidates must be currently enrolled at or recent graduate of one of CCAM’s member universities: Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia State University, and Virginia Tech.
